I've passed this place on the turnpike 100 times. Me and my wife finally stopped. It was worth it. It was fantastic. Food was good. Great staff. Definitely worth stopping.

Stopped in for dinner just after 8pm on Friday night. We didn't know the dining room closed at 8. The gentleman at the front said let me see if I can still get you seated. Next thing we know he opens the side door and walks us into the dining room. Turned out that was the owner. He was incredibly kind, accommodating and personable. The rest of the wait staff were fantastic as well. We had the Hunter Burgers. Definitely a delicious burger with a great sauce. Apple pie dessert was fantastic. I swear it was fresh out of the oven, with crispy flaky crust and piping hot filling. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

I had the most unforgettable experience at @hillbillysgrubandpub in Donegal, PA - Hosted by @golaurelhighlands for a night out. From the moment I walked in, the warm, country vibe made me feel right at home. The decor, southern-inspired menu, and the friendly atmosphere all hit the mark perfectly. As soon as I spotted “Fried Green Tomatoes” and “Chicken & Biscuits” on the menu, my dinner order was decided—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Every bite was a taste of comfort food heaven! After dinner, my creator friends and I headed upstairs to the bar, where live music by @vpmusic100 was in full swing. Singing along to 90s classics and Americana favorites while dancing my heart out with my friends was hands down the highlight of my trip. We even got VIP treatment in the “VIH” (Very Important Hillbilly) section, complete with a goat statue that milked vodka, and a Beer Cave where you could pour your own drinks! This place is everything I love about a night out—amazing food, great music, and such a fun, welcoming vibe. I’ve been raving about it ever since and can’t wait to bring my husband back for our anniversary in May.

If you are considering whether or not to give this place a try - GO NOW!!! I took my team and their spouses for our annual company get together this past weekend. Reservations are perfect, they were ready for us even though we were 25 minutes early, our server Britt was attentive, friendly, and fast, the food was incredibly reasonably priced, and quantity was perfect, drinks were excellent with selection, alcohol content, and price, and the atmosphere is like you are the most VIP person/group in the place, except you can see that the entire staff is treating EVERY table the same way. We did venture upstairs to check out the bar and beer caves, and it’s upbeat, friendly, and again we felt like VIPs. So, if you want to be treated perfectly, get a super fair price for food that you debate ordering more just to take home, and want a different in the best way possible dining experience, as I said at the beginning- GO NOW!!! This restaurant is awesome! If you are travelling the turnpike and need a great restaurant to stop and grab a meal, this is it. It’s less than a quarter mile off the turnpike. They have a family restaurant and an upper pub area complete with an amazing beer cave. The food was made fast, hot and so good and it was reasonably priced! They even had kids meals for 5.99 with about 5 options for them to choose from. The wait staff were super kind to our family and made us feel at home. We will be back, and you should go!

This was a great stop on our way home from Pittsburgh! Looking at recent reviews, it's painted in a bad light. But it was an amazing place to stop. I love the beer walls, don't have to bother the bartender, just go drink what you want! The mac and cheese and corn ribs were very good (can't say I would order the corn again though), I had the meatloaf sandwich, which was delicious, and my wife had the bluecheese burger, which was phenomenal! That house made bluecheese sauce is the best I've ever had! Need to buy that by the bucket. Definitely be stopping in again soon since we are going to Pittsburgh beginning of January. Gotta say, well done!

Very good place to eat. I had biscuit n chicken gravy. very good, plenty, fluffy biscuits. my wife had fried bologna sandwich and was not disappointed. Atmosphere was warm and fun. Must try

My husband and I went to Hillbilly's for the first time Saturday night and we had a great experience. We walked right in and were seated right away. The waitress was greeting us at our table within 2 minutes after being seated. The waitress was very kind and friendly. After taking our orders, our food arrived in a very timely manor. The food and portions were perfect! They serve larger portions but not oversized. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband got the pot roast and I ordered a bacon cheese burger. We were introduced to the owner Jim who was very kind and polite as well. Jim offered to show us the bar area after we finished our meal, since it was our first time being there. The prices are very reasonable for what you're served. When we finished, we made our way upstairs to the bar area which is absolutely gorgeous. They have an outside patio with corn hole and tables to sit at. They have a stage for a band on Saturday nights. As well as a tap room with a massive variety of ciders and beers. All and all, we had a great first time experience at Hillbilly's and will absolutely be returning in the near future!
